We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information collected through our site. The site is served over HTTPS using TLS encryption to protect data in transit. Access to donor records and operational data is limited to staff and contractors who need it to do their work.
Analytics and Service Providers
Freedom Philanthropies uses third-party service providers to operate the site and our programs, including hosting and content delivery, analytics, donation processing, email marketing, SMS, and anti-fraud services. Each provider handles your information under its own privacy policy and terms. We share only the information necessary for them to perform the service we have engaged them for, and we do not sell personal information.
The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Third-Party Links
Our site may contain links to third-party websites, including social media platforms, news articles, and partner organizations. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external sites. SMS Communications
If you opt into SMS communications from Freedom Philanthropies (for example, by providing your mobile number on a donation form, signing up at an event, or texting a campaign keyword), you consent to receive recurring text messages from Freedom Philanthropies about our programs, appeals, impact updates, and other operational matters. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for assistance.
How we use your mobile number. When you opt in, we collect your mobile phone number, the date, time, and method of your opt-in, and a record of the messages we send you and any replies. We use this information only to send the text messages you asked to receive (such as donation receipts and confirmations, campaign and appeal updates, event reminders, and stories about the impact of your giving), to honor opt-out and help requests, and to keep the records required to show your consent.
Incomplete donation reminders. Our website uses cookies to help keep track of a donation you have started on our donation form, including when a donation was begun but not completed. If you have opted in to text messages, this information is used to determine when to send you a gentle reminder by text message that your donation was not finished.
Mobile information. No mobile information collected through SMS opt-in will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time. Mobile information may be shared only with subcontractors necessary to deliver the messages (for example, our SMS platform provider) and is otherwise handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
See our Terms of Service for the full SMS program disclosures, including opt-in details, customer support contact, and the carrier liability disclaimer.
